The LAZY™ Visual Editor

The LAZY™ visual editor is where hosts run their vacation rental websites and take direct bookings. LAZY™ websites run on our own visual editor, built specifically for vacation rentals. Change text, photos, entire design, manage reviews, update guidebook, or add new sections. All of it in a couple of clicks.

The Lazy cat in pink glasses, stacking website sections

LAZY™ Editor Tour

This is the real LAZY™ editor, and you can’t break it. On the left are the buttons for everything you can change: the words, the look, the colors and your photos. On the right is your website, just as guests see it. Along the top: go back a step, save, see it on a phone, and make your changes live. Press the pink dots to see what each part does.

Highlights

The editor does much more than change text and pictures. Here are some of our favorite features. You can also add photo slideshows, maps, pricing cards, social feeds, welcome offers, local weather, inquiry forms, and more.

The Lazy editor: setting up booking on the Tahoe Cabin website

Booking

Your website. Your way of taking bookings.

Connect Lodgify, Hospitable, Guesty, or OwnerRez to display your booking widget and calendar directly on your website.

Prefer to speak with guests before confirming? Use inquiry mode. Guests check availability and send you a request.

For example, a host who uses Lodgify shows the Lodgify booking widget on their vacation rental website, and guests book direct instead of through Airbnb.

The Lazy editor: the Style panel changing fonts, text sizes, buttons and corners on the Florida Paradise website

Design and Colors

Change the look of your entire website from one place.

Choose your fonts, text sizes, colors, spacing, and corner styles. Adjust individual details or start with a ready-made design skin.

Your changes apply consistently across every page. Experiment as much as you like — you can always return to your original design.

For example, change one color and every button and heading on every page follows.

The Lazy editor: switching the hero layout on the Tahoe Cabin website

Hero

Make a great first impression.

The hero is the first section your guests see. Choose from seven layouts: Hero, Split, Editorial, Bottom, Frame, Gallery, or L-shape.

Add your logo, adjust its size, change your property name's appearance, and choose which photos take center stage.

Switch layouts in one click without losing your content.

For example, switch from Hero to Split: your photos, logo and property name move with you.

The Lazy guidebook on the Florida Paradise website: nearby places in a list and on a map, filtered by category

Guidebook

A local guide your guests will actually use.

LAZY™ finds restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and other useful places near your rental and puts them on an interactive map.

Guests can browse by category, check locations, and get directions.

Make it personal: remove places you don't recommend, add your favorites, and include your own photos and local tips.

First, LAZY™ fills the map with nearby places. Then you remove the ones you don’t recommend and add your favorites.

Reviews

Your great reviews deserve a place on your own website.

Import guest reviews from Airbnb and other platforms. Choose which reviews to display and pin your favorites to the top.

For example, pin the review that mentions your view so guests read it first.

Let visitors see what previous guests loved about your property, right where they're considering their stay.

The Lazy editor on the Sabattus Shalomus website: editing the Sleeping Arrangements section that the AI assistant reads

Assistant

An AI assistant that knows your property.

Your assistant uses information from your website and anything else you provide — house rules, welcome letters, instructions, or local recommendations.

Guests can ask about the property or surrounding area and get answers anytime.

If the assistant doesn't know the answer, it can pass the question along to you.

Keep its knowledge up to date simply by updating your website or adding new information.

Booking

Choose how guests book: through Airbnb, your booking platform, or an inquiry.

Your website is where guests decide. Booking is where they say yes. You choose what happens when a guest presses the booking button, and you can change it at any time in the editor.

Three ways guests can book

Through Airbnb

The booking button opens your Airbnb listing, and the guest books there as usual. The same works for Vrbo and Booking.com. Nothing new to set up.

Through your booking platform

If you use Hospitable, Guesty, Lodgify or OwnerRez, we put its booking box and calendar right on your website. Guests pick dates and book without leaving your site.

Through an inquiry

Prefer to talk to guests first? They check dates and send you a request. You reply and decide. An inquiry is a request, not a confirmed booking.

How a booking platform works with your website

A booking platform, such as Lodgify, is a separate service you sign up for. It keeps your calendar and your rates, takes the booking and the payment, and keeps your dates in step with Airbnb and the other sites you list on. Your LAZY™ website shows the platform’s booking box, so the booking itself happens in your platform, under your account.

We have tested Hospitable, Guesty, Lodgify and OwnerRez, and we use Lodgify ourselves as hosts. If your platform offers a booking box for websites, we can usually connect it too.

LAZY™ doesn’t provide insurance. You might want to explore the insurance options your direct booking platform offers. For example, Guesty offers partner insurance on a per-stay basis.

What this means for you: guests can book the way you prefer, from your own website, and you keep full control of your bookings and your money.
